Upper River Beaverhead Brown taken on a pink scud.

Upper River Beaverhead Brown taken on a pink scud.

Fished the Beav. from the dam to high bridge today.  We put on at around 1:30 pm and had great water clarity and action until they started releasing more water at around 4 pm.  The water got real cloudy and chunks of bank and brush started floating down the river.  Fishing got a little tricky after that and slowed a bit.  Scuds, soft hackles, san juan worms, and ray charles were the best bugs of the day.

Clark Canyon creek above high bridge is super muddy.  It looked as though someone was pouring chocholate milk into the river.  As soon as it hit the rapids at high bridge and became all churned up, the water below was a soupy mess.  Hopefully after a few days of run off it will clear up and the water will regain a little clarity.
