The Beaverhead River is still fishing very well. The fish are getting a little more keen on what they’ve decided to eat, and the patterns we are fishing are changing along with them as well. Sow bugs in grey, orange, and green are working extremely well as the fish take them eagerly to get the high caloric count that a sow bug provides. Green and brown Micro mayflies, and an assortment of PMD nymphs have also been working well. In the next few weeks we should start to see an increased amount of PMD nymphs moving throughout the system as they start to hatch. Water flows are around 450 cfs coming out of the dam, and the river is clear and clean.
