A Tight Line staff favorite, situated atop a beautiful foothill in the southern Belizean town of Punta Gorda, Belcampo Lodge provides its guests with very best that Belize has to offer. Five star accommodations and cuisine, a friendly and compassionate staff, beautiful jungle scenery, and the best population of Permit in the world.

Wake up in your private jungle suite to the sounds of the morning rains and howler monkeys as they rise for the day. Enjoy delicious farm-to-table dishes unique to the area and grown right there at Belcampo. After you finish your home-grown coffee, rendezvous by the land cruiser for a short 10 minute ride to the docks to meet the Garbutt’s, a local family of guides with 15-20 years of experience a piece.

Rodgers Permit 2Captain Scully and his family know the area better than anyone and will guide you to success on your quest to capture fly fishing’s most sought-after sport fish. Along the way to the numerous flats, rivers, lagoons and the second largest barrier reef in the world, you’ll be awarded many opportunities at Permit, Barracuda, Bonefish, Jacks, Tarpon, and the occasional Snook.

Need a break from fishing for a day? No problem, Belcampo offers many other activities such as snorkeling, cave tubing, ruins tours, birding, jungle hikes, mountain biking and river kayaking. Many activities can be done on your own, at no extra cost. Or, have a lazy day lounging around the pool, reading a book and enjoying endless drinks from the renowned rum bar!

At the end of the day, unwind with a massage from the house masseuse or have a glass of wine on the veranda over looking the surrounding jungle as you watch the beautiful sunsets. Belcampo has something for everyone!
